3D Scanning of the Former REBU Halls
To support the regeneration process, we conducted a high-precision 3D scan of the former REBU halls and the adjacent public space. This scan goes beyond capturing reality – it provides a robust digital foundation for research, planning, and design. Architects, urban planners, and creatives can now use this data to visualize and shape the future of the site.
An Educational Project for Future Specialists
Berzei 21 isn’t just about space – it’s about knowledge-sharing. We provided students from UAUIM and USAMV with point cloud data from the scanning process, offering them hands-on experience for their diploma projects. A dedicated workshop led by Iosif Lavric gave them practical insights into using point cloud technology for urban planning and architectural design.
Our contribution bridges the past, present, and future of Berzei 21. By leveraging 3D scanning technology, we’ve helped uncover the hidden potential of this space, supporting informed decision-making for urban regeneration. This project is a testament to how
