When a global leader like Arcadis invests in developing its teams’ openBIM capabilities, it sends a clear message: digital transformation starts with people.
Internationally recognized for delivering complex projects across infrastructure, buildings, and the built environment, Arcadis continues to demonstrate that outstanding performance is driven not only by technology, but also by continuous investment in people and the way they collaborate.
Over the past few weeks, we had the pleasure of partnering with Arcadis to develop and deliver a customized openBIM training program, designed around their specific workflows, objectives, and challenges.
The structure and content of the program were carefully tailored to ensure that every session was practical, relevant, and immediately applicable to the projects Arcadis teams deliver every day.
We are delighted that the participants successfully achieved the buildingSMART Professional Certification – Foundation. More importantly, the program provides them with the knowledge and confidence to take the next step toward the buildingSMART Professional Certification – Practitioner, an advanced level focused on applying openBIM principles in real-world projects.
Beyond the certifications themselves, the most valuable outcome is Arcadis’ commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration built on international standards, efficient processes, and openBIM best practices.
For us, this project is an excellent example of how leading organizations approach BIM implementation. Success does not come from choosing the right software alone—it comes from enabling people to speak the same language, follow well-defined processes, and collaborate effectively throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Working with an organization of Arcadis’ scale reinforces what we continue to see across the industry: market leaders are investing not only in technology, but also in people, processes, and internationally recognized standards that enable them to deliver projects at the highest level. When a global leader makes this commitment, it sends a powerful message to the entire industry: the future of construction belongs to organizations that continuously learn, collaborate around shared standards, and turn knowledge into performance.
We would like to thank the Arcadis team for their trust, openness, and outstanding collaboration. We are proud to have contributed to this initiative and hope their example will inspire more organizations to see BIM capability development not as a cost, but as a strategic investment in the future of their projects and their people.
Because digital transformation doesn’t start with software. It starts with people.
