Models for the international architecture competition for the development of the Sf. Andrei – Palace Square area in Iași

We support the participants of the international architecture competition for the development of the Sf. Andrei – Palace Square area with two #models that cover over 2 square kilometers of Iași’s central area, models created through 3D printing at two scales: 1:500 and 1:1000, effectively marking the T0 starting point.

To obtain the 3D model, we used both ground scanning equipment and data gathered from drone flights, generating highly accurate point clouds for a series of significant buildings, including: the Palace of Culture, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the “Three Holy Hierarchs” Monastery, the Roman-Catholic Church “Assumption of the Virgin Mary”, the “Saint Nicholas” Princely Church, the Dosoftei House, and the “Gheorghe Asachi” Primary School.

We’re ready for a smarter 2022 with a #digitaltwin in which we will continue to collect as much useful data as possible for architects and builders, in addition to the spatial information (point clouds, building positions and dimensions) that we already have.

Happy building, Romania!
